The Dark Sky Trip will be on Friday December 18, 2009
We will be meeting at the Ungar Building at 6pm at the West entrance. (The side by the parking lot and at the Loading Dock Door, the ramp)
We will be leaving at 6:30pm as soon as we are all accounted for. Directions will be given out at this time.
For those that are not driving please bring $5 in cash for your drivers as this is a fairly far round trip and gas, tolls and park fees add up. This is most likely subject to change as we are getting funding from SAFACC.
This trip will be a Bar-B-Q and Camping trip. We are staying overnight and will be having a cookout. Be prepared with blankets and tents (though you'll most likely be up allnight or laying under the stars)
Bring the following items: Bug Spray, Food/Drinks & Sweaters. But most importantly bring yourselves! (Hamburgers and Hotdogs will be provided!)
NOTE: If the weather does not permit on December 18th, then we will push back for Saturday December19th. This is just a fallback for bad weather.
NOTE: We now have a working CCD Imaging camera so on this Dark Sky Trip we will be taking images of the objects we see in the sky!
1. If you are driving select "Driver" If you are not driving select "Passanger"
2. If you are driving please select the number of passangers you are able to take in your car. If you are not driving select "0"
3. If you want to stay overnight select "Overnight". If you want to leave earlier select "Midnight". Those who want to leave earlier can head back with the group that leaves at midnight.
